Each year, a beautiful home is built to raise money and give back to the community that supports the wonderful St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its initiatives. Local residents are encouraged to purchase a ticket to enter the house upon its reveal and see the beautifully designed rooms created with the help of national brands and local businesses. All of the fundraising goes towards St. Jude kids and its mission: Finding cures. Saving children.® The main idea is that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food so they can focus solely on the well-being of their child.
This year, the St. Jude Dream Home is located in Indian Trail, North Carolina. We received the lucky opportunity to collaborate in creating this home by providing surfacing materials for countertops and fireplace surrounds.
Kitchen Counters & Backsplash

The hotspot of the Dream Home, the kitchen, displays the always elegant Silestone Calacatta Gold quartz. This material is the perfect countertop, as it is worry and stress-free. It is extremely durable and resilient, making it resistant to chipping and scratching, and it also combats any unwanted discoloring and stains. Because of this, white countertops are able to keep their fresh color for years to come!
The white countertops in this home pair perfectly with the contrasting cabinetry and wooden floors. The faint veining provides beautiful artwork, making this surface a wonderful backsplash, as well. You can never go wrong with a timeless white quartz – as you can see, it is simply stunning in design!
Master Bathroom

The master bathroom portrays a darker, sophisticated look with deep grey Silestone Cemento Suede quartz. The combination of dark hues and wooden accents provides a refined style that resembles maturity and lends itself to minimalistic design. The profound colors truly speak for themselves in this luxury master bath!
The Fireplace
The fireplace is one of our favorite parts of the Dream Home! The Dekton Soke surround is a perfect choice for a giant display, as it exemplifies an immaculate modern touch to the entire space. The natural concrete look brings a primitive ambiance to the living space that is incomparable to any other room’s design. The best part? The material is extremely heat resistant and easy to clean!

Guest Bathrooms

Similar to the kitchen counters, these guest bathrooms portray a light and dainty design. The Dekton Entzo ultra compact surface (pictured left) is a dazzling white material that encompasses shimmering gold veining. This piece is fun to pair with bold colors to bring out the unique coloring of the surface, as well as in your space! Dekton Halo (pictured right) is a glossy white finish that is clean and chic! It appeals to almost every by-passer due to its clean-cut and outstanding quality. These two surfaces both contain luminous hues which help bring more light into these smaller spaces, making them feel more open and less confined – they’re the perfect countertops from small to large!
Laundry
The last workspace in the house, the laundry room, displays a Dekton Laos ultra compact countertop. Often overlooked, the laundry room is an important space to incorporate durable countertops. Harsh chemicals, such as bleach, or other acidic liquids are commonly used to remove stains in clothes and it is not unlikely that they will come into contact with the countertops. Therefore, it is crucial to install resilient material that can withstand these harsh day-to-day interactions that frequently happen in the laundry room. The dark color of Laos is a great choice, as it will not be damaged and will maintain its natural looking state for decades. Plus, it matches the dark features in the rest of the home and adds a personalized style to the once plain-and-boring laundry room.
